| The department insures that the highway network within Effingham County is adequate to meet the needs of business, industry and private citizens. Major functions include: | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Construct and maintain County-owned highways and bridges. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|
|
Cooperate with state and other local agencies. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
